IEEE Student Branch of IIT

The IEEE Student Branch of Informatics Institute of Technology was established in 2015 and has achieved great success during the past few years. Along with the technological experience and knowledge, personal development skills can be gained by participating in activities conducted by the Student Branch. Being dedicated to the advancement of technological concepts and methodologies even within the Institute itself, the IEEE Student Branch hosts a monthly awareness session conducted by reputed individuals in the technological arena for the undergraduate students inside IIT – thus successfully propagating and advancing technological excellence both inside the Institute as well as to its surrounding entities. Furthermore, IEEE Student Branch of IIT was the first to organize an Inter-University hackathon and startup battle named ‘Code Sprint ’in Sri Lanka.​
