Aftermath

The Aftermath was an exhilarating, tech-driven treasure hunt organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT). Designed specifically for Level 4 and Level 5 tech enthusiasts, the competition challenged participants' problem-solving abilities, coding skills, and technical prowess through an immersive, city-wide quest across Colombo.

The event commenced on August 29, 2025, with an online awareness session attended by approximately 150 participants. During this briefing, organizers detailed the challenge categories, rules, and the prize structure, which featured cash awards and vouchers. The highly anticipated finale took place the following day on August 30, sending teams on a dynamic journey through several iconic locations in Colombo. At each stop, participants worked collaboratively to navigate intricate puzzles and uncover cleverly placed technical challenges that tested their creativity and logic under pressure.

The competition brought out a fierce but collaborative spirit across its multiple challenge categories. In the Xplorer: Survival Games division, team DistrictGPT emerged as the overall winner, followed closely by The Vigilantes as the first runner-up and Real Raccoons as the second runner-up. Additionally, team Aurea claimed the top spot in the Scavenger Hunt category, capping off a successful and highly competitive event.
