IndSight Gen II

IndSight Gen II is an industry visit series organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the Informatics Institute of Technology. The initiative is designed to give undergraduates exclusive, firsthand exposure to leading software and technology companies in Sri Lanka, helping them bridge the gap between academic learning and professional industry practices.

Throughout the 2025 series, the student branch organized multiple interactive visits to prominent tech organizations. The series began in March 2025 with a visit to 99x, where students learned about the company's vibrant culture, product strategies, and global market adaptation while touring their modern office. In April 2025, the second visit took place at the London Stock Exchange Group, offering students enterprise-level exposure and tailored industry insights. This was followed by a fourth visit to Rootcode, which provided an engaging look into software product engineering and daily company operations.

The initiative continued in June 2025 with the fifth stop at Cicles, where twenty-five students participated in a dynamic tech quiz and interacted directly with developers, designers, and strategists. For the sixth visit in July 2025, a small group of ten IEEE members enjoyed a highly personalized experience at Creative Software. The standout moment of this visit was the opportunity to observe a real-world sync-up meeting between different product teams, allowing students to see exactly how industry professionals collaborate, share progress, and align their strategies.
